Configuring Business Objects from Legacy Systems

When developing applications based on business objects and processes it is important to address two important factors: requirements for change so that business information systems can evolve over time and the linking of business objects with legacy information systems. The common aim of these two requirements is the ability to smoothly combine modern and legacy business components within a running application. In this paper we present a methodology that allows to blend modern business objects and processes with legacy objects and processes in order to construct exible applications. This methodology allows reusing as much of the legacy data and functionality needed for the development of applications that meet modern organization requirements by retro tting legacy objects and processes within business objects.
